Social Event at Jakobs Restaurant, 20 Gloucester Road, London SW7 4RB on Wednesday, 8 January 2025 from 7 pm to 8.30 pm
From recent feedback, it is clear some residents are enthusiastic about all or most aspects of the Garden Improvement Plan whereas others have reservations, particularly in respect of provision of fixed play items on the Mound (also referred to as toddlers' bars) aimed for use by children of tender years.
The management committee felt it would be helpful to arrange a social event one week ahead of the AGM in an informal setting so that residents with particular concerns could express their views over beverages and snacks in order to understand more about what is proposed.
We have therefore booked Jakobs Restaurant, 20 Gloucester Road, London SW7 4RB on Wednesday, 8 January 2025 from 7 pm to 8.30 pm for this purpose. The event is free of charge to key holders. There is no need to book a place in advance.
Next Meeting of the Queen's Gate Police Ward Panel - Thursday, 9 January 2024 from 6 pm to 7 pm. Venue TBC
Andrew Wylie, Chairman of the Queen's Gate Police Ward Panel, is seeking to increase Panel participation of residents living in Cornwall Gardens. The Panel plays an important role in helping shape Police priorities in our area through quarterly meetings and general communications with the Police, RBKC officials, Ward Councillors and representatives from other local residents associations. If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact the Secretary below.
Waste Collections by RBKC over Christmas and the New Year
The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) has published a helpful guide to waste collections over Christmas and the New Year, including temporary changes to the collection rotas and how and where to dispose of Christmas Trees. Please see: https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/contact-us/customer-information-christmas-and-new-year-holiday-period
There will be no bin collection on Boxing Day (Thursday, 26 Dec 2024). Apart from this day, collections on Monday and Thursday mornings will continue as normal.
Please speak to, failing which report, anyone dumping rubbish on pavements and roads in Cornwall Gardens outside these collection times, fly-tipping generally, or engaged in other unneighbourly conduct, on https://www.rbkc.gov.uk/contact-us/report-problem
On behalf of the Chairman and the Management Committee, wishing you a joyous Festive Season and all the best for 2025.
